The Urban Academy culture and courses are designed to cultivate excellence. Therefore, our grading scale is tougher than other public elementary schools. Students are expected to take their learning seriously, ask questions when they need help or are confused, complete their classwork/homework in full and study for exams. Students families can receive extra support by requesting a meeting with their student’s classroom teacher and or the principal to discuss a strategic approach to supporting the students’ growth.
